Hanging Banners on Street Light Poles

Banner graphics and placement are approved by Custodial Services and Landscape Services. Customers may apply by faxing the form to Custodial Services at 432-2820. Banner requests are required at least three weeks prior to the desired installation date. Banners must meet the specifications outlined in the Street Light Pole Banner Guidelines.

Bicycle & Canoe Services

Transportation Services operates the MSU Bikes Service Center which offers bike and canoe rentals, repairs, sales and accessories. Call or email for more information.

Estimates

A department may request a FREE Preliminary Cost Assessment. This is a service provided by the Physical Plant Division to aid MSU administrators in making strategic facility decisions. This is a quick evaluation done without the benefit of drawings or detailed investigation. If the department chooses to proceed, a detailed estimate can be prepared after the completion of design. To request a Preliminary Cost Assessment, send a Service Request to Maintenance Services, fax 355-5205 or call 353-1760.

FAMIS

Facilities Administration Management Information System) software provides products and services to help organizations maintain and operate facilities assets, manage space, and control capital projects. FAMIS Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) includes Facilities Management, Property Management, Real Estate Management, Maintenance Management, Capital Projects, Preventative Maintenance, and Space Management.

Lighting

Burned out light bulbs should be reported to the Building Head Custodian or call Custodial Services Office at 355-8485. Lights in areas too high for the custodian's ladder or that have an electrical problem will be red tagged by the custodial staff and reported to the Maintenance Services lighting crew. In order to access classrooms without disrupting classes and allow for better and faster service, this crew works 10 p.m. to 8:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday.

Moving and Set Up Events

To arrange for moving and set-up services, call Custodial Services at 355-8485. This includes moving offices and set up for special events, including providing tables and chairs.

Outdoor Events

Outdoor events require approval by Custodial Services. Contact Custodial Services at 355-8485 in order to use tents or light pole banners, or set up 5K Runs, among other things. Forms are available at custodial.msu.edu.

Parking Gates

Report inoperable parking gates to the Parking & Safety Bureau at 355-8440. They will contact Maintenance Services to have them repaired.
